Greenville, SC Chapter of theSociety for Human Resource Management
I was hoping I could gain some feedback on your standard PTO/Vacation Policies. Our current policies are as follows
Months 0 – 48 Months (Years 1 – 4) = 80 hours (10 days)
Months 49 – 120 Months (Years 5 – 10) = 120 hours (15 days)
Months 121 + (Years 11+) = 160 hours (20 days)
May accrue a maximum of 1.5 times their accrual rate
I'm hoping to gain about 10 responses that could give me a benchmark for the upstate.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

thank you for asking, as I believe we need to address ours as a company - ours seem low.

newhires prorated until 1 year of service
Dang, cannot past a table, so here's the basics:
The Company provides PTO hours for full time employees. Hours roll over each year if unused, however the is an annual cap of 2X your annual accrual rate.
We accrue per pay period (26x/y).
new hires accrue at 3.0769 = 80h
5 - 9 years of service, 4.6153 = 120h
10+ years, 6.1538 = 160h
Plus, 80h of sick time/year, not eligible for carryover
