Professional Partner Membership


  • Individuals with careers in traditional HR functions or roles directly related to HR (e.g., compensation, benefits, diversity, recruitment, safety, training, HRIS, payroll, legal, and recruiting). Full-time attorneys must work for firms representing management exclusively. 
  • Individuals involved in business management or operations with a vested interest in HR knowledge, including business owners and operations managers.
  • Individuals engaged in nonprofit, university, or government education/training fields or agencies providing HR services (e.g., college career development directors, nonprofit employment specialists, or state workforce officials). Nonprofit employees may pay the Professional membership rate. 
  • Faculty members with assistant or full professor rank in HR-related curricula. 
  • Full-time HR consultants certified by SHRM or a recognized HR authority, providing strategic, operational, and administrative HR services across all HR functions.

Student / In-Transition Membership

Students enrolled in an accredited college or university with a primary focus on human resources. Student members cannot vote or hold office in the Chapter but may serve on the Board in a non-voting advisory role if appointed by the President.

Individuals currently between HR-related roles who are actively seeking employment in the field are welcome to maintain their membership. In-transition members can continue to engage with the Chapter’s resources and networking opportunities to support their career advancement.

FREE

Retiree / Emeritus / Lifetime Membership

Retired membership is available to individuals who have retired from full-time employment in the human resources profession. Lifetime membership is granted to individuals designated as honorary lifetime members through Board of Directors approval. While Retired and Lifetime members are responsible for covering meal costs at meetings they attend, they are exempt from paying annual dues. Both Retired and Lifetime members are eligible to vote and hold office.

Full Corporate (5-10) Membership


Full Corporate Membership (a minimum of 5 employees is required):

Cost: $2,495 (a $345 discount)
Additional Members: $435 per person

Registration Details:

Members must register for each event they wish to attend using a special Corporate Registration Code. Registration is required for all Greenville SHRM events.  This membership offers significant savings and exclusive benefits, making it a cost-effective way for organizations to engage with Greenville SHRM and its resources.
