IT Security: You've Been Breeched? Scarier & Easier Than You Think!

Learn from two information security experts about:

  1. Their recommendations on how to avoid an IT compromise
  2. What IT steps to take in case of a breech
  3. Advice on legal steps to take to contain, mitigate and remediate in case of a breech

Reed Wilson is the CEO of Palmetto Technology Group, an award-winning IT Services Firm in Greenville, SC.  PTG is recognized as one of the top IT companies in the US, carries 4 Gold Competencies, and has been ranked one of South Carolina's top places to work every year since 2014.  Prior to founding PTG, Reed worked in several sales leadership roles at Datastream Systems, Inc., a $100MM software company that was headquartered in Greenville prior to being purchased by Infor.  Reed is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.  He lives in Anderson with his wife and two children.


Gary Berger has been with Ogletree Deakins for 22 years, initially as Director of Technology when he led the department through a restructuring and technology audit. Gary is currently the Director of Information Security at Ogletree Deakins. He oversees and manages the firm’s security program and function. He works with executive management, firm clients, vendors and other key stakeholders to govern, affect, grow, develop and manage the security program at Ogletree Deakins. Gary is actively involved with local and national peer organizations, including the International Legal Technology Association.

HR Certification Credit: This program is approved for 1 PDC for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. It is also approved for 1 hour of HRCI general re-certification credit. Certificates will be emailed to those in attendance after the meeting along with a Feedback Survey.
