Program Topic: Gender balanced leadership/Men as Allies
The 2021 International Women's Day theme is "Choose To Challenge". The #ChooseToChallenge goals are threefold; Celebrate Women's Achievement, Raise Awareness against Bias, and Take Action for Equality. Jeffery Tobias Halter, author and TEDx speaker will be presenting a keynote, "Men Choosing to Challenge." The talk will focus on how we need to accelerate male engagement in becoming gender advocates for advancing women into leadership and will provide attendees with tangible daily tools to accomplish this goal.
Learning Objectives:
As the country’s leading male business expert on advancing women and engaging men, Jeffrey Halter delivers dynamic keynotes and workshops at leadership conferences and company meetings. As a gender strategist, he consults with senior leaders to move from concept to execution on the three simple reasons to invest in women: to grow revenue; to improve operating profit; and to enhance company reputation. Finally, to drive systemic change for women, you need male engagement and advocacy. His message is there is an approaching tsunami for women, and organizations and senior leadership teams (still 85 percent men) are unprepared for it. Most companies have internalized the idea of advancing women but lack an integrated women’s leadership strategy, which results in programs without progress – and misses the impact to the bottom line. Jeff is the former director of diversity business development at The Coca-Cola Company, with 35 years of business experience. He has seen from the inside what companies need to do to capitalize on the power of women in the marketplace and workplace. His clients and best practice research has included GE, Kimberly-Clark, Deloitte and Walmart.
