The world of work continues to change rapidly. Baby boomers are retiring in such high numbers that it has been termed a Silver Tsunami with no slowdown in the foreseeable future. Older millennials are finding their footing in leadership roles and now the youngest millennials are positioned for the next wave of leadership. We have moved into a time in which the definition of leadership continues to shift based upon rapidly evolving business requirements. The days of authoritative leadership have given way to a conscious leadership approach. In many circumstances, high potentials, who excel in technical skills do not necessarily have the innate capabilities to manage the demands required to lead organizational growth and drive change. However, these skills can be learned. This presentation will provide a foundation to learn how to identify and develop a talent pool in order to set the foundation for strong future leadership.
Learning Objectives:
Understanding how labor market changes are shifting how to approach succession planning
Identifying prospective employees with potential to succeed in future leadership roles
Learning core capabilities necessary for the next wave of future leaders and preparing them for the future
