Grounded in neuroscience and based on traditional and modern approaches, the presentation explores the why and the how of mindfulness, getting beneath the surface to unlock the power of innate awareness. Sessions are interactive and include multiple short practice opportunities. I invite participants to actively grow emotional intelligence through exploring the power of empathy and compassionate engagement, and to enter more fully into embodied presence. I also discuss the elements of a successful in-house mindfulness program as well as common pitfalls.

Speaker Bio:
Martha has 35 years of global business experience, 25 years of contemplative practice, and extensive leadership coaching expertise. She offers strategies to help attendees ground themselves, beat burnout, and enhance resilience and joy in work and play. As an investment banker, she introduced presence practices for stress management, benefiting over 5,000 individuals through her training programs. Martha delivers keynotes and team training, leveraging her mindfulness instruction experience with veterans and trauma survivors.
She holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, an executive coaching certificate from Georgetown University, and is certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. With over 15,000 hours of meditation practice, she lives on a farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her husband and pugs.
HR Certification Credit: GSHRM is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. This program is pending for 1.0 hour of SHRM re-certification credit. Certificates will be emailed to those in attendance after the meeting along with a Feedback Survey.
