This course serves as an essential introduction for HR professionals to the concepts of microaggressions. The goal is to foster an environment of learning and openness, addressing the stigma around acknowledging and addressing these biases. Learning Objectives:
Speaker Bios:
Chris Gantt-Sorenson works exclusively with employers providing advice and counsel with the goal of preventing compliance issues, and representing employers anytime an employee or employees file a claim against the employer. Chris’ goal is to help employers comply with employment law in a way that does not run counter to the employer’s primary goal of doing business and sees her relationship with her clients as a business partnership. Chris is a member of HSB’s employment law team, along with Katie Busbee, Joseph Dickey, Garrett Steck, Denny Major and Demetrius Pyburn, all who combined offer a full employment law bench.
Ashley Wilson is the Vice President and Human Resource Business Partner at Southern First Bank, with over a decade of experience in organizational development and talent management. Her expertise includes organizational design, leadership coaching, project management, and facilitation. Previously, she worked at Clemson University as a Training Manager and Talent and Organizational Development Specialist. Ashley holds a master’s in business administration and an undergraduate degree from Clemson University. She is a certified coach for DISC, Predictive Index, and Enneagram, and a certified Lean Six Sigma Facilitator. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Blake, and their two dogs, Hank and Zoey.
HR Certification Credit: GSHRM is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities.
