Description:

From enforcement risks to evolving legislation, HR professionals are facing a growing number of complex, high-stakes challenges. This session will address two critical developments currently shaping the HR landscape: the rise in ICE enforcement activity, including workplace raids, and the introduction of the Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB)—a sweeping federal proposal that touches on paid leave, student loan repayment, childcare tax credits, workforce development incentives, and more.

Our legal and benefit experts will examine what these changes could mean for your HR policies, compliance procedures, and overall people strategy. Whether you're preparing for the possibility of an enforcement visit or trying to assess the real-world implications of new federal benefit structures, this session will help you separate fact from noise and prepare your team for what’s next.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify appropriate legal and ethical responses for HR professionals in the event of an ICE raid at the workplace.
  • Understand the most impactful provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) and how they affect employee benefits, retention, and workforce development.
  • Build proactive strategies to both protect the organization from risk and position it to attract, support, and upskill talent through changing federal resources.
